Un Rotary e-Club è un Club i cui Soci si incontrano e si relazionano via Internet (posta elettronica, videoconferenza, skype, ecc.). Questo tipo innovativo di Rotary Club è stato istituito dal Rotary International nel 2010 e, ad oggi, conta già circa 300 Club sparsi in tutto il mondo. I Rotary e-Club osservano la stessa normativa prevista per tutti i Rotary Club. La differenza chiave consiste nel fatto che un e-Club svolge le sue riunioni ordinarie sul sito web del Club piuttosto che incontrarsi di persona in un determinato giorno e orario; i Soci possono pertanto partecipare alle riunioni a qualsiasi ora e giorno della settimana. Così come per tutti i Rotary Club, i Rotary e-Club svolgono progetti d’azione nelle comunità locali e internazionali e praticano l’affiatamento con gli altri soci. Le riunioni degli e-Club si svolgono su un sito web esclusivo. L’orario ufficiale della riunione è determinato dal momento in cui il Presidente o il Segretario del Club pubblicano il tema sul sito per la discussione. I Soci possono accedere successivamente al sito web a loro piacimento in qualsiasi orario, discutendo sugli argomenti in agenda o su altri temi. Per rispettare la privacy dei soci degli e-Club, parte del contenuto delle riunioni o i dati personali dei soci sono protetti grazie all’accesso riservato solo agli addetti ai lavori. Sebbene tutti i Rotary e-Club si riuniscano e svolgono l’attività di discussione prevalentemente online, hanno anche l’opportunità di incontrarsi di persona di tanto in tanto durante l’anno, in occasione dell’espletamento dei progetti e per le cene sociali. Tali incontri servono a rafforzare l’affiatamento tra i soci, ma sono assolutamente facoltativi. L’affiliazione ad un e-Club richiede conoscenze basilari su internet, inclusa la capacità di navigare tra i siti web con dimestichezza. Inoltre, i soci dovrebbero avere una conoscenza pratica delle applicazioni che offrono la protezione della privacy online, in modo da non compromettere le informazioni personali riservate di un altro socio.
Le riunioni ordinarie del Club si svolgeranno di Martedì dalle ore 12.00 ogni 15 giorni.

A Rotary e-Club is a Club whose Members meet and interact via the Internet (e-mail, videoconference, skype, etc.). This innovative type of Rotary Club was established by Rotary International in 2010 and, to date, already has around 300 clubs around the world. Rotary e-clubs follow the same rules as for all Rotary clubs. The key difference is that an e-club holds its regular meetings on the club's website rather than meeting in person on a specific day and time; Members can therefore participate in the meetings at any time and day of the week. As with all Rotary Clubs, Rotary e-Clubs carry out action projects in local and international communities and practice fellowship with other members. The e-Club meetings take place on an exclusive website. The official meeting time is determined from the moment in which the President or the Secretary of the Club publishes the topic on the website for discussion. Members can subsequently access the website at their leisure at any time, discussing the topics on the agenda or other topics. To respect the privacy of e-Club members, part of the content of the meetings or the personal data of members are protected thanks to access reserved only for professionals. Although all Rotary e-Clubs meet and carry out discussion activities mainly online, they also have the opportunity to meet in person from time to time during the year, on the occasion of the completion of projects and for social dinners. These meetings serve to strengthen the harmony between the members, but they are absolutely optional. Membership of an e-Club requires basic internet knowledge, including the ability to navigate websites with confidence. In addition, members should have a working knowledge of applications that offer online privacy protection so as not to compromise another member's confidential personal information.
The ordinary meetings of the Club will take place on Tuesdays from 12.00 every 15 days.
