Il Distretto 2050 (già 205) del Rotary International nasce con la suddivisione del Distretto 204 in 204 e 205, operata nell’anno 1985-1986. All’ex Distretto 205, che assume poi nel 1991-1992 il nome di 2050, vengono assegnate le Province di Brescia, Cremona, Lodi, Mantova, Pavia, Piacenza e alcuni comuni della provincia di Milano.
Dagli iniziali 33 Club, il Distretto cresce fino ai 42 del 1990, ma nell’anno seguente 10 Club del milanese vengono trasferiti al Distretto 2040. Partendo dai 32 Club rimasti, nel volgere di dieci anni il Distretto 2050 cresce fino a contare 55 Club ma, di nuovo nel 2000, 4 Club del milanese passano al Distretto 2040. Nel 2012 il Distretto 2050 annovera 69 Club, ma il 1° Luglio 2013, ancora una volta, 10 Club ai confini di Milano vengono trasferiti al neonato Distretto 2041. Essendo sorti però nel frattempo 16 nuovi Club, oggi il Distretto 2050 conta un totale di 75 Club, di cui 5 e-Club, compreso l’e-Club Agàpe Universale.
Va sottolineato che, per quanto riguarda il numero degli e-Club, il Distretto 2050 si pone fra i primissimi posti a livello mondiale, dimostrando di essere all’avanguardia in questo settore.

District 2050 (formerly 205) of Rotary International was born with the subdivision of District 204 into 204 and 205, operated in the year 1985-1986. The former District 205, which then assumed the name of 2050 in 1991-1992, was assigned the Provinces of Brescia, Cremona, Lodi, Mantua, Pavia, Piacenza and some municipalities in the province of Milan.
From the initial 33 Clubs, the District grew up to 42 in 1990, but in the following year 10 Clubs of the Milanese were transferred to the 2040 District. Starting from the 32 remaining Clubs, in the space of ten years the 2050 District grew to number 55 Clubs , again in 2000, 4 Clubs of the Milanese moved to the 2040 District. In 2012 the 2050 District had 69 Clubs, but on 1 July 2013, once again, 10 Clubs on the borders of Milan were transferred to the newly created District 2041. Having arisen however, in the meantime 16 new clubs, today the District 2050 has a total of 75 clubs, of which 5 e-clubs, including the e-Club Agàpe Universal.
It should be emphasized that, as regards the number of e-Clubs, the 2050 District ranks among the very first places in the world, proving to be at the forefront in this sector.
