IL NOSTRO CLUB
IL NOME, LA MISSIONE Il nome dell’e-Club Agàpe Universale è imperniato sul più importante Comandamento della Bibbia: “Amerai il prossimo tuo come te stesso” che costituisce il pilastro su cui poggia la morale di tutte le religioni monoteiste della terra. Ma questo pilastro interiore, ucciso dal positivismo e dal nuovo scientismo, sta ora vacillando, perché sappiamo sempre meno di cosa parla. Il nostro prossimo non è un’entità astratta, è la persona che vediamo, che sentiamo, che possiamo toccare. Oggi questa persona è sempre più sostituita da un ologramma mediatico, quasi virtuale, e il “tu” che rivolgiamo a tutti nasconde in realtà una distanza incolmabile. E’ questo l’incipit di una forma di alienazione collettiva che si sta trasformando in uno stratagemma per sopravvivere, per sopportare il carico sempre più insopportabile degli stimoli e che ci impedisce quindi di conoscere davvero chi ci è vicino. Una volta, lo straniero, il viandante, l’esule, il naufrago godevano di uno status privilegiato; oggi sono visti quasi come invasori e usurpatori dei nostri diritti. E’ dunque il momento di pensare che stiamo dimenticando il nostro prossimo? Il nostro Club, con il suo nome, vuole far sua questa domanda e intende contribuire, con la sua attività, a diffondere un messaggio di amore universale. Per far questo, i Soci potranno prendere spunto da un gesto rivoluzionario come quello di Martinus, catecumeno e soldato romano, che donò metà del suo mantello a uno straniero sconosciuto e semignudo. Il salto morale di cui oggi abbiamo bisogno è del tutto simile. Perché è dubbio che si possa amare chi ci è sconosciuto e che basti sapere per essere giusti. “L’altro” ci è necessario ed è soprattutto necessario che ci sia vicino, fisicamente o almeno idealmente. Agàpe Universale è il vero Amore, che può unire in un abbraccio di pace tutti i popoli della Terra.

THE NAME, THE MISSION The name of the e-Club Agàpe Universal hinges on the most important Commandment of the Bible: "You will love your neighbor as yourself" which is the pillar on which the morality of all the monotheistic religions of the earth rests. But this inner pillar, killed by positivism and the new scientism, is now wavering, because we know less and less what it is about. Our neighbor is not an abstract entity, he is the person we see, feel, and can touch. Today this person is increasingly replaced by a media hologram, almost virtual, and the "you" we address to everyone actually hides an unbridgeable distance. This is the beginning of a form of collective alienation that is turning into a ploy to survive, to bear the increasingly unbearable load of stimuli and which therefore prevents us from really knowing who is close to us. Once, the stranger, the traveler, the exile, the castaway enjoyed a privileged status; today they are seen almost as invaders and usurpers of our rights. So is it time to think that we are forgetting our neighbor? Our Club, with its name, wants to make this question its own and intends to contribute, with its activity, to spread a message of universal love. To do this, the Members will be able to take their cue from a revolutionary gesture such as that of Martinus, a catechumen and Roman soldier, who gave half of his cloak to an unknown and semi-naked foreigner. The moral leap we need today is quite similar. Because it is doubtful that we can love those who are unknown to us and that it is enough to know to be fair. "The other" is necessary for us and above all it is necessary that he is close to us, physically or at least ideally. Universal Agàpe is true Love, which can unite all the peoples of the Earth in an embrace of peace.
